The HP NonStop family of line printers now covers an extended performance range while
continuing to offer an array of valuable printing features and full functional compatibility with
previous 522x models. Print speeds now range from 500 lines per minute (lpm) in a pedestal
model to 1,000 lpm and 1,500 lpm in the family's rugged cabinet models.
The design of all NonStop line printers is elegantly simple. The number of parts is minimized,
wear resistance and reliability are superior, and energy consumption is extremely low.
Connectivity options for any computing environment are provided, including an Ethernet
10Base-T network interface.

pedestal and cabinet models
With its external paper-stacking feature,
the 500-lpm pedestal model is well suited
for shorter batch jobs where easy access
to output is desirable. It is also easier to
change forms, making the pedestal model
an excellent choice for factory
environments.
The two cabinet models are designed for
longer, unattended operation.

Standard emulations include Epson FX
1050, IBM ProPrinter III XL, and Printronix
P-series line printers. As is true with all HP
line printers, the NonStop line printers
support HP's PCL II for compatibility with
nearly all common software packages
as well as providing backup for any
unavailable line or matrix printer. Loaded
from a disk in a PC into flash memory, all
of the emulations are software upgradable.
Optional emulations for graphics printing
include Intelligent Graphics Printing/QMS
Magnum Code V Graphics Language
(IGP/VGL) and Intelligent Graphics
Printing/Printronix Graphics Language
(IGP/PGL).
