Overview	Print Modes
The Texas Instruments OMNI 800" Models 830 and 835 are low-cost, feature-rich printers for the busy office environment. The 830 is a narrow-carriage, 80-column model, while the 835 is a wide-carriage, 136-column version. Each offers a 9-pin user-replaceable printhead, a 23Kbyte print buffer, and up to 5-part forms printing. The combination of three print speeds, versatile paper handling capabilities, and easy-to-use operator control panel satisfies a wide range of personal workstation printing needs.	Three print speeds: High speed draft (HSD) mode provides fast copy for reports and other data processing applications at 300 characters per second (cps). Utility (UTL) mode operates at 250 cps, with fast throughput ideal for multipart forms printing. Near letter quality (NLQ) mode delivers superior results for memos and business letters at 63 cps.
Paper Handling	Main Features
Three paper paths accommodate many forms found in a variety of environments. The bottom feed paper path is ideal for thick multipart forms and labels; when combined with an optional pull tractor, it keeps the paper path straight and helps reduce the possibility of paper feed problems. The rear feed paper path incorporates a built-in push tractor for continuous feed forms, while a special menu-selectable "forms tear-off" feature helps eliminate forms waste. In addition, single sheets can be loaded via the top feed paper path for printing memos and letters. Paper parking on the 830/835 printer allows you to switch quickly and easily between rear feed continuous forms and top feed single sheets-without ever handling the forms.	The 830/835 printer offers three emulation choices selectable from the menu mode: TI 855 DP/865 DP, TI 855 WP/865 WP, and IBM Proprinter II/Proprinter XL emulations. Mean-time-between failure (MTBF): 5,000 hours at 25% duty cycle Mean-time-to-repair (MT-M): 15 minutes. Like the other printers in the TI OMNI 800 family, the Models 830 and 835 are designed to standards that help ensure years of reliability and high performance. The 830/ 835 printer provides extremely fast document throughput with high quality print resolution. Other friendly features include a snap-in ribbon cartridge, and an optional, user-installable serial interface board.
